Build the Foundation for Children’s Health

Our Vision

Asthma, allergies, autism, obesity, leukemia, and many other diseases are on the rise in children in the U.S. At Geisel, we are committed to figuring out why and conducting the rigorous science needed to inform policies and personal decisions and to protect children’s health.

We will examine the complex interplay between genetics, environmental exposures, healthcare, and behaviors. We will uncover the hidden factors that affect children’s development, behaviors, and lifelong health. Ultimately, we will catalyze a reduction in the most common chronic diseases.

Two centers at Geisel lead this important work: the Children’s Environmental Health and Disease Prevention Research Center and the C. Everett Koop Institute.
